What´s up from Rio

Hey everyone.  This is Gabriel checking in from Rio.  I arrived here this morning after a smooth flight from Miami.  Because I´m exhausted, and I still want to go check out music tonight in town Im going to condense this check in to a user friendly list:

1) # of hours of sleep i´ve had in the last two days: 4
2)# of attempts at speaking Portuguese: 20
3) # of failed attempts at speaking Portuguese: 5
4) # of pagode bands I´ve met: 1
5) # of arguments I´ve had about pagode being amazing music (i was arguing for this point, not against it): 1
6) # of places I´ve been that either are named for Jobim or are Jobim song titles: 2
7) # of times I´ve busted out the pandeiro to jam: 2
8) # of new friends I´ve made: 6
9) # of military policemen I´ve seen: too many too count
10) # of times I´ve missed Brad: 0 (well maybe once, i admit it)

It´s been an amazing day here in Rio.  Tomorrow I rendezvous with Brad at the airport and we both head to Salvador.  While I admit we aren´t sure where we will be sleeping tomorrow night I´ll say that I can´t wait for DFSC to start monday morning in Salvador!!!
